Customize Colored Lighting in Dark Spaces
Understand Colored Lighting
HSN Shaders applies colored light from blocks like redstone lamps, glowstone, and colored light sources. This creates atmosphere in caves and underground bases by tinting nearby blocks with the light source's color.
Access Lighting Settings
Open the shader configuration menu and look for options related to "Colored Lights," "Light Tinting," or "Dynamic Lighting."
Adjust Light Saturation or Range
If colored lighting feels too strong or oversaturated in caves, reduce the saturation or intensity slider. If it's too subtle, increase these values. You can also adjust how far colored light spreads from its source.
Experiment with Different Light Sources
Build a small test area with various light blocks—redstone lamps, glowstone, lanterns, and torches. Toggle colored lighting on and off to see the difference. Notice how caves feel more atmospheric with colored light tinting the stone and ore.
Fine-Tune for Your Build Style
If you prefer a more neutral, vanilla-like appearance, reduce colored lighting intensity. For dramatic, colorful underground bases, increase it. Your preference determines the best settings.
