HSN Shaders FAQ

Open your Options menu in-game, go to Video Settings, then select Shaders. Find HSN Shaders in the list and click it to activate. You'll see the shader effects apply immediately to your world.

Shadows depend on your light source position and time of day. If shadows seem broken, try adjusting your render distance or checking if a shader setting is disabled in the shader options menu (accessible from Video Settings).

HSN Shaders works with most mods, but mods that heavily change lighting or add custom blocks may cause visual conflicts. Test your mod combination in a test world first to check for issues.

Open the shader options menu from Video Settings and look for bloom or glow intensity settings. Adjust the slider to increase or decrease how bright the glows around light sources appear.

Try disabling water reflections or reducing render distance in the shader options. If performance is still poor, lower your overall video settings or reduce chunk render distance in regular Options.

Water reflections apply to still water and water source blocks. Flowing water and waterfalls may not reflect as clearly due to how the shader processes moving water.

HSN Shaders adds colored lighting that tints caves based on nearby light sources, making ores and blocks appear more vibrant. This is intentional and can be adjusted in the shader options if you prefer less color tinting.

Shaders are client-side only, so you can use HSN Shaders on any server without it being installed server-side. Your graphics will look enhanced while other players see the normal world.

HSN Shaders is designed to work with standard graphics settings. Using Fabulous mode may cause visual glitches or performance issues, so stick with Fast or Fancy graphics for best results.

Open the shader options menu and look for shadow-related settings. You can disable shadow rendering while keeping bloom and other effects active by toggling the appropriate options.
