Stay safe from hidden hazards like powdered snow and tripwire
Identifying dangerous blocks
The Helpful Default Pack makes powdered snow and tripwire strings clearly visible, preventing accidental damage and trap triggers. Both blocks are normally hard to spot in survival mode, but this pack gives them distinct visual markers.
Spotting powdered snow
Powdered snow now displays with obvious visual clarity, so you can see it before walking into it. This is especially useful in snowy biomes or when exploring mountains. The improved visibility prevents the freezing effect and fall damage that comes from sinking into powder.
Avoiding tripwire traps
Tripwire strings are now clearly visible across doorways, corridors, and jungle temples. You can see the string lines before triggering dispensers or activating mob spawners. This makes exploring abandoned structures much safer.
Spotting trapped chests
Trapped chests also receive a visual indicator, so you won't accidentally trigger a poison cloud when looting. The distinction between normal and trapped chests is now immediate.
Exploration strategy
When entering new areas, take a moment to scan for these hazards. The improved visibility means you can navigate dangerous terrain confidently without constant vigilance.
