Helpful Default Pack Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn off the ore borders if I don't like them?
Open your resource pack settings in the pack menu and look for the ore border toggle option. You can disable bordered ores while keeping all other features active.
Does this pack work with other resource packs?
This pack works best as your primary resource pack, but you can layer it with others if you load it lower in your pack priority list. Some visual features may conflict depending on what the other pack modifies.
Why can't I see the underwater fog removal working?
Make sure you're using the latest version of the pack and that it's actually enabled in your resource packs list. If fog is still visible, check that no other active pack is overriding the fog settings.
Does the brewing guide show all potion recipes?
Yes, the built-in brewing guide displays the core potion recipes directly on the brewing stand interface so you can reference them without leaving the screen.
How do I see powdered snow and tripwire more clearly?
The pack makes these blocks visually distinct by default—powdered snow appears more visible and tripwire strings are easier to spot. No additional steps needed; they should stand out immediately when you load the pack.
Will this pack affect my performance or FPS?
This is a lightweight resource pack that generally improves performance by reducing particle clutter and visual effects rather than adding heavy new textures. Most players see no FPS impact or slight improvements.
Can I use this on multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this pack on any multiplayer server without affecting other players or server rules.
Why does my carved pumpkin view look different now?
The pack replaces the thick carved pumpkin overlay with a translucent version so you can still see your surroundings while wearing a pumpkin. This is intentional and can't be toggled off separately.
Do the ore borders work on all ore types?
Yes, the pack adds colored borders to all ore blocks including Ancient Debris, making every ore type easier to spot during mining.
What happens to my fire and shield overlays during combat?
The pack lowers both the fire overlay and shield model on screen so they block less of your view while still showing you're taking damage or blocking. This makes combat visibility much clearer.
