Gravel GUI Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I enable the Gravel GUI after installing the resource pack?
The resource pack activates automatically once installed—open your Resource Packs menu in Settings, find Gravel GUI in the Available list, and move it to Active. Make sure it's positioned above any conflicting packs in your active list.
Why do my GUI buttons look stretched or cut off?
This usually happens when the resource pack conflicts with another GUI mod or pack. Check your active resource pack order and move Gravel GUI higher in the list, or temporarily disable other GUI packs to test compatibility.
Can I use Gravel GUI with shader mods?
Yes, Gravel GUI works alongside most shader mods since it only changes menu textures, not rendering. If you notice visual glitches, try adjusting your shader's GUI brightness settings or disable shaders temporarily for menus.
The animated buttons are laggy on my server. How do I fix this?
Resource packs are client-side only, so server performance isn't affected—the lag is on your computer. Try disabling other resource packs, lowering your texture resolution, or checking if your GPU drivers need updating.
How do I customize the button colors to match my preference?
You'll need to edit the resource pack's texture files directly using an image editor—extract the pack, locate the button textures in the assets folder, modify the colors, and repack it. Refer to the Customize Button Colors guide for detailed steps.
Why does the Gravel GUI look different on my friend's world?
Resource packs are personal to each player's client, so your friend needs to install Gravel GUI separately on their computer to see the same interface. Server-side settings don't control which resource pack players use.
Can I keep vanilla menus for some screens and use Gravel GUI for others?
Yes—extract the resource pack and selectively delete texture folders for screens you want to stay vanilla, then repack it. The Restore Vanilla GUI for Specific Screens guide walks through this process.
The GUI is too dark to read in my world. What should I do?
Try adjusting your game's brightness setting or gamma in Video Settings, or follow the Make GUI Elements More Visible in Dark Environments guide to edit the pack's texture brightness values.
Do I need to reinstall Gravel GUI when I update Minecraft?
Usually no—if the resource pack is marked compatible with your new version, it will work as-is. If you encounter issues, check the mod's page for an updated version or try disabling and re-enabling the pack.
Why are some container screens (like furnaces) not styled by Gravel GUI?
Gravel GUI prioritizes high-use screens like chests and crafting tables; less common containers may not have custom textures. Check the Features section to see which screens are supported, or request additions on the mod's community page.
