Lattice
Lattice is a modular connected-model building block. Its connection behavior is similar to Vanilla fences, but it also works cleanly across the XZ-plane (floors and ceilings). Lattice comes in a variety of wooden and metal flavors, crafted with a base material in a cross pattern.
Future updates to lattice will incorporate optional plant content. Current lattice exists only as a building block, but is already versatile enough to create open-air walls and ceilings, portcullises, grates, cages, wall pegs, rails, and other such structures.
Only the iron and wrought iron finishes can be crafted directly. The mossy version of heavy chain can be crafted by surrounding Vanilla vines with 8 iron lattice on the crafting grid.
Lattice normally connects out to any solid surface. For certain blocks, it makes an exception and extends out beyond its own block boundaries.
- Lattice will extend to join with wood posts.
- Heavy chain and light chain will extend upward or downward to join with lattice.
