How to Find and Mine Arcane Crystal

Locating the Ore

Arcane Crystal Ore generates underground and has a deepslate variant, Deepslate Arcane Crystal Ore. Mine either with a pickaxe to obtain Arcane Crystal Dust Speck and Arcane Crystal Dust. These are the base materials for everything arcane in the mod, so gather a full stack before moving on.

From Dust to Crystal

Combine Arcane Crystal Dust into Arcane Crystal, then compress Arcane Crystal into Arcane Crystal Block for storage. Arcane Crystal is the crafting ingredient behind Arcane Crystal Obelisk, Corrupted Arcane Crystal, and Corrupted Arcane Crystal Obelisk. If you want the corrupted variants, craft Corrupted Arcane Crystal from Arcane Crystal and Corrupti Dust, then upgrade it into Corrupted Arcane Crystal Block or Corrupted Arcane Crystal Obelisk.

What to Build First

Place an Arcane Crystal Obelisk as a focal point for arcane crafting. Keep a stock of Arcane Crystal Dust and Arcane Crystal Block on hand — both feed into stonecutting and shaped recipes for the polished darkstone family, including Arcane Polished Darkstone, its Slab, Stairs, Wall, and Pillar variants, plus Chiseled Arcane Polished Darkstone. Darkstone itself is the plain building block you will cut into Darkstone Slab, Darkstone Stairs, and Darkstone Wall. Mine Deepslate Arcane Crystal Ore whenever you spot it; it is the richest source of the dust you will keep spending.
