Building with Darkstone and Deorum

Darkstone Basics

Darkstone is the mod's core building stone. Mine it, then cut it into Darkstone Slab, Darkstone Stairs, and Darkstone Wall at a stonecutter. Combine Darkstone with Arcane Crystal to make Arcane Polished Darkstone, which stonecuts into Arcane Polished Darkstone Slab, Stairs, Wall, and Pillar. Chiseled Polished Darkstone and Chiseled Arcane Polished Darkstone are the decorative caps for pillars and doorframes. Cracked Polished Darkstone Bricks give a weathered look for ruins.

Deorum Accents

Deorum Ingot is the metal accent for builds. Craft Deorum Block for solid surfaces, Deorum Chain for hanging details, Deorum Glass and Deorum Glass Pane for windows, and Deorum Door and Deorum Trapdoor for entrances. Deorum Lantern and Deorum Soul Lantern light interiors; the soul variant uses Corrupt Soul. Deorum Nugget is the small unit for fine recipes.

Wood and Edelwood

For wooden builds, use Aurum Log, Aurum Wood, Aurum Planks, Aurum Stairs, Aurum Slab, Aurum Fence, Aurum Fence Gate, Aurum Door, Aurum Trapdoor, Aurum Button, and Aurum Pressure Plate. Aurum Leaves and Aurum Sapling let you grow more. Edelwood offers a darker palette: Edelwood Log, Edelwood Planks, Edelwood Button, Edelwood Door, Edelwood Fence, Edelwood Fence Gate, Edelwood Ladder, and Edelwood Branch. The arcane variants — Arcane Edelwood Door, Arcane Edelwood Planks, Arcane Edelwood Trapdoor, and Carved Edelwood Log — combine Edelwood with arcane materials for themed structures.
