Maintain Vanilla Block Colors While Using Enhanced Lighting

Understand Farloom's Vanilla-Focused Approach

Farloom Shaders preserves the familiar appearance of standard Minecraft blocks—grass, stone, wood, and water retain their recognizable colors. The shader adds realistic lighting and shadow without oversaturating or drastically altering how blocks look.

Adjust Lighting Intensity if Needed

If blocks appear too bright or too dark, access the shader settings and look for brightness, contrast, or lighting intensity sliders. Small adjustments here preserve vanilla aesthetics while tuning the visual mood to your preference.

Avoid Conflicting Texture Packs

Vibrant or heavily modified texture packs may clash with Farloom's lighting. If colors look wrong, try switching to a vanilla or vanilla-adjacent texture pack to see the shader's intended appearance.

Check Biome-Specific Lighting

Different biomes receive different lighting profiles. Visit several biome types—forests, deserts, mountains—and confirm that block colors remain true to vanilla while benefiting from the shader's enhanced lighting and shadow depth.
