Explosive Projectiles Plugin FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on explosions for the first time?
Enable Instant Fun Mode in the mod's configuration file to start throwing exploding projectiles immediately without any setup. Once enabled, any thrown or shot item will create an explosion on impact.
Can explosions destroy my buildings?
Yes, by default explosions will break blocks. You can disable block damage in the config settings to keep your structures safe while still allowing the visual and gameplay effects of explosions.
How do I make only certain players able to use explosive projectiles?
Use the permission groups feature in the configuration to assign explosive powers to specific player groups or individuals. Players without the permission will throw normal projectiles instead.
Can I have different explosion sizes for arrows versus snowballs?
Yes, the mod lets you set custom blast sizes for each projectile type separately, so arrows can have larger explosions than snowballs if you want.
Will explosions hurt my pets or named animals?
By default they can, but you can enable the pet protection setting to prevent explosions from damaging any named creatures on your server.
How do I disable explosions in just one world?
The mod supports per-world settings, so you can turn off explosive effects in specific worlds like Creative or Building worlds while keeping them active elsewhere.
Do explosions cause fires?
They can be configured to do so. You can toggle fire spread on or off in the settings depending on whether you want burning blocks as part of the explosion effect.
Can I make explosions hurt players but not monsters?
Yes, the mod has separate toggles for player damage and monster damage, so you can allow PvP explosions while keeping mobs safe if you prefer.
What items can be made explosive?
Almost every thrown item works, including arrows, snowballs, and eggs. Fireballs are the main exception and cannot be configured for explosions.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod is designed to be lightweight, but enabling explosions in high-traffic PvP areas or with very large blast sizes may impact performance depending on your server's resources.
