Change Your Difficulty Profile Mid-Game

Access the Profile Command

Type /chm profile in chat to open the difficulty selection menu. This works at any time, even if you're already playing.

Understand When to Switch

• Increase difficulty if Merciful feels too easy and you want a real challenge.
• Decrease difficulty if you're struggling to survive or find your way back from exile.
• Switch before risky activities like deep mining or boss fights to adjust your stakes.

Apply Your New Profile

Select your new profile from the menu. The change takes effect immediately—your next death will use the new distance range. The mod will confirm the change in chat.

Check Current Settings

Unsure which profile you're using? Type /chm status to see your active difficulty and other system information. This is helpful if you've been away from the world for a while and need a reminder.
