End Food for Everyone recognizes bows, staffs, and other ranged weapons as valid tools for harvesting cooking ingredients from End mobs. This makes farming safer and more flexible than melee-only approaches.

Farming with Ranged Weapons

1. Equip a bow with arrows or a staff from your inventory.

2. Travel to the End and locate Endermen, Shulkers, or Endermites.

3. Attack mobs from a distance using your ranged weapon.

4. Defeat the mob completely to trigger ingredient drops.

5. Collect the food items that appear.

6. Repeat across multiple mobs for consistent ingredient gathering.

Advantages of Ranged Farming

Bows and staffs let you maintain distance from dangerous mobs, reducing damage taken. You can farm Shulkers without taking knockback hits, and Endermen without triggering their teleportation as easily. This playstyle is ideal for players who prefer survival over combat.

Requirements

Ensure All the Trims mod is installed and active. This mod tags all weapon types—including bows and staffs—so the data pack recognizes them as valid for ingredient drops. Without it, ranged weapons won't trigger the updated loot tables.
