Optimizing Performance on Lower-End Computers

Reducing Shader Intensity

Emperial Shaders is designed to run smoothly across many setups, but older or lower-spec computers may need tweaks. The shader includes scalability options to maintain playable frame rates.

Performance Optimization Steps

1. Open shader settings from the graphics menu

2. Look for shadow quality, reflection detail, or effect intensity sliders

3. Lower shadow resolution or disable shadow filtering for faster rendering

4. Reduce water reflection quality if frame rate drops near bodies of water

5. Disable colored light effects if performance is still poor

6. Lower overall shader complexity or enable a "lite" mode if available

Monitoring Results

Use F3 debug screen to watch frame rate (FPS) while adjusting. Aim for consistent performance above 30 FPS for smooth gameplay. Test in different environments—caves, open sky, and water areas—since performance varies by location. If you still experience lag, consider lowering render distance or disabling other resource-heavy mods before reducing shader quality further.
