Enhancing Water and Reflection Appearance
Configuring Water Visuals
Emperial Shaders provides clean water surfaces with realistic reflections. You can adjust how water looks to match your preference for clarity versus visual impact.
Adjusting Water Settings
1. Open shader configuration from graphics options
2. Find water-related controls (water clarity, reflection quality, or wave intensity)
3. Increase water clarity for more transparent, see-through water
4. Boost reflection quality to see sharper reflections of sky and terrain
5. Adjust wave or ripple intensity if water surface movement feels too strong or too subtle
6. Test near different water types—oceans, rivers, and small pools render differently
Visual Tuning Tips
Clear water makes underwater exploration easier but may feel less realistic. Slightly opaque water creates atmosphere while maintaining visibility. Reflections are most visible when looking at water from an angle rather than straight down. If reflections cause frame rate issues, lower reflection quality before disabling them entirely. Colored light from torches and lanterns near water creates warm reflections—position light sources strategically for best effect.
