Adjusting Brightness and Cave Visibility

Finding the Right Brightness Level

Emperial Shaders automatically balances lighting, but you can fine-tune visibility to match your preference. Access the shader settings through your graphics options menu—look for a Shaders button or similar control panel.

Steps to Adjust

1. Open your in-game graphics or video settings

2. Locate the Shaders configuration panel

3. Look for brightness, exposure, or cave lighting sliders

4. Increase the value if caves feel too dark for your taste

5. Decrease if you want more contrast and shadow depth

6. Test in both cave systems and surface areas—good settings work in both

Tips

Caves should remain clearly visible without torches, but not washed out. If the daytime sky still feels bright, check for a separate sky brightness control. Adjust in small increments and give your eyes a moment to adapt to each change. Remember that monitor brightness and gamma settings also affect how the shader appears, so calibrate those first if you're struggling.
