Optimize Lighting for Nighttime Exploration
Understand Elytrune's Night Lighting
Elytrune Shaders maintains visibility during nighttime without making nights feel artificial or overly bright. The shader balances atmospheric darkness with practical navigation—you won't need torches everywhere, but caves and deep forests still feel genuinely dark.
Prepare for Night Travel
Bring torches, lanterns, or other light sources for deep exploration. While surface-level nighttime is navigable, underground areas benefit from supplementary lighting. The shader's soft shadows mean torchlight casts gentle, readable shadows rather than harsh contrasts.
Adjust Your Monitor Settings
If nights feel too dark on your screen, check your monitor's brightness and contrast before tweaking shader settings. Elytrune is designed around standard display calibration. A slightly brighter monitor may reveal more detail without compromising the atmospheric quality.
Use Fullbright Sparingly
Avoid enabling fullbright mode if possible—it defeats the purpose of Elytrune's carefully tuned lighting. Instead, rely on in-game light sources and the shader's inherent nighttime clarity for a more immersive experience.
