Master the 40/40 Gliding Technique
Understanding the Pitch Angles
The 40/40 gliding technique relies on two key pitch angles: +40° for climbing and -40° for descending. The Elytra Pitch Helper Mod displays visual guide lines at these exact angles, removing the need to check your debug menu while flying.
How to Execute the Technique
1. Equip your elytra and launch into the air from a high point or use fireworks to gain altitude.
2. Look upward until the +40° guide line appears on your screen—this is your climb angle.
3. Hold this pitch and watch your altitude increase. The mod will show motion glyphs indicating you're in a pull-up phase.
4. When ready to descend, gradually pitch downward until the -40° guide line appears.
5. Maintain the descent angle until you've lost enough altitude, then return to +40° to climb again.
6. Repeat the cycle smoothly, using the amplitude cues to time your transitions based on your current flight speed.
The key to mastering this technique is smooth, rhythmic transitions between the two angles. Let the visual guides keep you precise while you focus on maintaining steady momentum.
