Maximize Fuel Efficiency When Processing Large Ore Hauls

Understand Fuel Consumption

The key efficiency gain of this pack is fuel usage: each raw ore block requires only one piece of coal to smelt completely, regardless of size. This is substantially better than smelting 9 individual raw ores, which would normally consume more fuel across multiple furnace cycles.

Organize Your Smelting Setup

When you return from a major mining trip, craft all your raw ores into blocks immediately. Group them by type—copper blocks together, iron blocks together, and so on. This makes it easier to load multiple furnaces at once without mixing recipes.

Batch Processing Strategy

Place raw ore blocks across multiple furnaces or blast furnaces simultaneously. Since each block only needs one coal, prepare a single coal piece per block you're smelting. Blast furnaces work faster than standard furnaces, so prioritize them for large batches if speed matters.

After smelting completes, you'll have full metal blocks ready for crafting or storage, with minimal fuel waste and maximum output.
