How to Get Wood from a Dynamic Tree

Break the Tree, Not the Trunk

Dynamic Trees grow as a connected structure of tree blocks, so you harvest wood by removing the tree itself rather than chopping a column of logs. Find the base of the tree where it meets the ground and break the lowest tree block. The whole connected tree collapses from that point, dropping its wood and any seeds or pods it carries.

Collect the Drops

After the tree falls, pick up the wood and the matching propagation item. Each species drops its own item:

Mega variants exist for some species: Mega Jungle Pod, Mega Spruce Cone, Mega Crimson Cap, and Mega Warped Cap. These come from larger trees of the same type.

Replant for a Steady Supply

Plant the seed, acorn, catkin, pod, pit, propagule, or cap on valid ground to start a new tree. Mangrove needs Water Roots nearby to grow properly. Keep a stack of each propagation item so you can replant cleared areas and keep wood coming without hunting wild trees.
