Chopping Trees for Wood

With Dynamic Trees installed, trees grow as full structures rather than single-block trunks. To get wood, find a tree and break its trunk blocks. Each trunk block you break yields wood, so work your way up or around the trunk until the tree is cleared.

Because the trunk is made of connected blocks, you may need to break several before the tree is fully harvested. Keep breaking trunk blocks until no wood remains.

Managing the Ground

After felling a tree, the ground underneath is often left uneven. Use a Dirt Bucket to place dirt and level the area. The Dirt Bucket is crafted with a crafting_shaped recipe, so make one before you start clearing trees.

Steps:

1. Craft a Dirt Bucket using the shaped recipe.

2. Find a tree and break its trunk blocks for wood.

3. Place dirt from the Dirt Bucket to fill any holes left behind.

4. Repeat on the next tree.

Tips

• Bring the Dirt Bucket with you so you never run out of dirt while clearing.
• Break every trunk block, not just the bottom ones, or you will leave wood behind.
• Store harvested wood as you go to keep inventory space free.
