How to Use Claws as Digging Tools for Soil Blocks

Your Claws as Natural Hoes

Your sculk dragon's claws function identically to hoes when digging through dirt and soil-type blocks. This gives you a built-in tool for harvesting and terraforming without crafting equipment.

Digging with Your Claws

1. Approach dirt, grass, or soil blocks with your claws ready

2. Attack or interact with the block as you normally would

3. The block breaks as if struck by a hoe

4. Collect the dropped resources

5. Continue digging—your claws never wear out or break

Practical Applications

Use your claws to quickly harvest soul sand and nether wart in the Nether, since these are key food sources for your dragon. You can also terraform underground areas by removing dirt blocks to create tunnels or expand caves without needing to carry tools.

This ability is especially useful early in your survival when you haven't crafted hoes yet. Your claws are always available and never require maintenance. However, they only work on soil-type blocks—you'll still need proper tools for stone, ore, and other materials.
