Set Up Safe RTP Zones for Your Server

Define Protected Areas

RTP Zone functionality lets you mark specific regions where players should—or shouldn't—be teleported. This is essential for protecting your spawn area, player bases, and important structures from random teleportation.

How to Create Zones

1. Use the zone creation command to mark a rectangular or cubic region in your world

2. Specify the zone type: safe zone (players can land here) or excluded zone (players cannot land here)

3. Assign the zone a clear name so you can manage it later

4. Test by using /rtp and observing where you land

Managing Your Zones

Reload your configuration after adding zones using /rtp reload to apply changes immediately without restarting. You can create multiple overlapping zones—excluded zones take priority, so a protected area inside a safe zone will still block teleportation.

Consider marking your spawn area and any player-built towns as excluded zones. This prevents new players from landing on rooftops or inside buildings. Conversely, designate wilderness areas as safe zones to encourage exploration and resource gathering away from the main settlement.
