Donut RTP & RTP Zone Plugin FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I use RTP for the first time?
Type /rtp in chat and wait for the warmup timer to complete—you'll see a countdown message. Once it finishes, you'll teleport to a random safe location with solid ground beneath you.
Can I get stuck in the nether or end with RTP?
The plugin supports different settings for different dimensions, so your server admin can enable or disable RTP in specific worlds like the Nether and End. Check with them about which dimensions allow random teleports.
Why did I teleport into water or lava?
The plugin is designed to avoid dangerous liquids, but if this happens, it usually means the safe landing detection needs adjustment in the config settings. Report this to your server admin so they can review the safety rules.
What's the warmup timer for?
The warmup delay prevents players from using /rtp to escape combat or PvP situations—you must wait for the timer to finish before the teleport actually happens.
How often can I use /rtp?
The plugin has a cooldown limit between uses to prevent spam, but the exact wait time depends on your server's configuration. Try using it again after a short wait if you get a cooldown message.
Can I set up specific safe zones for RTP?
Yes, the plugin supports RTP zones that let you define custom safe areas where players can teleport. Your server admin can configure these zones using the zone setup guide.
Will RTP lag my server?
No, the plugin is optimized to work on large servers without causing performance issues, even with many players using it at once.
Can admins reload the plugin without restarting?
Yes, use /rtp reload to update all plugin settings immediately without needing to restart the server.
Does RTP respect world borders?
Yes, the plugin keeps all teleports within your world borders so players won't end up in unloaded or invalid areas.
How do I stop players from using RTP during PvP fights?
Your server admin can configure combat detection settings to disable RTP when players are in active fights, or enable the warmup timer to give opponents time to react.
