Spotting Active Beacons and Lightning Rods

Recognizing Powered States

Beacons and Lightning Rods now feature animated textures and glowing effects that activate when powered. These visual cues make it easy to confirm your setup is working without testing signals manually.

Setting Up a Beacon

1. Build a pyramid base using iron, diamond, emerald, or gold blocks

2. Place the Beacon on top

3. When powered, the beacon will display animated glow effects

4. Select a status effect by interacting with the beacon interface

5. Players in range will receive the chosen effect

Installing a Lightning Rod

1. Place a Lightning Rod on your roof or highest point

2. During a thunderstorm, the rod will visibly glow and animate when struck

3. The animated state confirms it's protecting nearby blocks from lightning damage

4. Connect redstone to the rod's side to trigger devices when lightning hits

Both blocks now provide immediate visual feedback, eliminating guesswork about whether your redstone power sources are active.
