Mobs
The mod introduces several custom entities with unique AI and death mechanics.
| Mob | Health | Damage | Behavior | Drops |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Glowshroom Monster | 30 | 12 | Territorial; will wind up a heavy attack if the player is close. | Glowshrooms, Glowgrime |
| Body Snatcher | 15 | 4 | Small and fast; dashes at players from over 10 blocks away. | Transforms into Void Soul |
| Void Soul Knight | 50 | 8 | Dormant until approached; tracks players through walls; uses an uppercut attack. | Transforms into Void Soul |
| Scorcher | 40 | Variable | A large eye that deals increasing fire damage the longer it stares at a target. | Magma Cream |
| Void Soul | Invulnerable | N/A | A floating orb that appears when a Catacombs mob dies. Expires after 60s. | N/A (Can be captured) |
Void Soul Mechanics
When mobs in the Sandy Catacombs are defeated, they do not die traditionally. Instead, they release a Void Soul. * Capturing: Use a Glass Bottle on a Void Soul to create a Void Soul Jar. * Preservation: Right-click a Void Soul with Amber to prevent it from expiring, allowing it to wander indefinitely.
Blocks
Specialized Stone Types
- Darkslate: Found in Molten Caverns. It has 5 "heat stages" (0-4). It becomes heated when adjacent to lava or magma blocks.
- Aridrock: The primary stone of the Sandy Catacombs. It is rotatable and comes in polished and brick variants.
- Duskrock: A dark, easily breakable stone found in the lower layers of the Catacombs.
- Grimestone: Found in Glowshroom Forests; can be used to craft basic tools, furnaces, and brewing stands.
Functional Blocks
- Geyser: Found in Molten Caverns. Periodically bursts, launching entities upward. Powering it with Redstone halts the bursts; unpowering it causes an immediate burst.
- Paranoia Altar: The centerpiece of the Catacombs. While locked, it is indestructible and summons Body Snatchers. Use a Void Soul Requiem to unlock and break it.
- Tomb: Large 3x2 containers found in Catacombs treasure rooms. They contain Forsaken Bronze Scrap.
- Petrified Wood: Non-flammable wood type. Created by placing logs above ignited Soul Soil.
