Enable Custom Boat Models In-Game

Prerequisites

Custom boat models won't display without the right mod loader. You need either OptiFine or Entity Model Features (EMF) installed alongside this resource pack.

Installation Steps

1. Install your model loader: Download and install either OptiFine or Entity Model Features to your Minecraft setup. EMF is lighter and works with Fabric; OptiFine is heavier but works with Forge.

2. Load the resource pack: Open Minecraft and go to Options → Resource Packs. Locate "Cute and Better Boats" in the available packs list and move it to the active side.

3. Verify in-game: Launch a world and spawn or find any boat. If you see wooden roofs and detailed textures instead of flat vanilla boats, the pack is working correctly.

Troubleshooting

If boats still look vanilla:

  • Check that your model loader is actually enabled (not just installed)
  • Restart Minecraft completely after installing the resource pack
  • Ensure the resource pack is positioned above any conflicting packs in your list
