Create Biomes O Plenty Casings Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to install anything else for this to work?
No, this is a data pack that works with Create and Biomes O' Plenty already installed in your world. Just load it and the recipes are immediately available.
Can I use regular Minecraft wood for casings or only Biomes O' Plenty wood?
You can use both vanilla and Biomes O' Plenty stripped wood interchangeably for all casing recipes. The data pack simply adds more wood options beyond the vanilla trees.
What's the difference between using different wood types for casings?
Different wood types produce casings with different appearances to match their log colors and textures. The mechanical function is identical regardless of which wood you use.
Do I need to strip the logs before crafting casings?
Yes, you must use stripped logs or stripped wood blocks, not regular logs. Use an axe on any log to remove the bark first.
Can I automate casing production with this data pack?
Yes, you can use Create's mechanical systems to automate stripping logs and applying the metal components to stripped wood, just as you would with vanilla wood.
Which casings can I make with Biomes O' Plenty wood?
You can craft Andesite Casings, Brass Casings, and Copper Casings using stripped logs and stripped wood from Biomes O' Plenty biomes.
Do I need different recipes for each wood type?
No, the recipes are the same for all wood types. Any stripped wood works with the same crafting process.
Will this data pack work in multiplayer?
Yes, the data pack works in multiplayer worlds. All players will have access to the same recipes.
What if my casings aren't crafting?
Make sure you're using stripped wood (not regular logs), that you have the correct metal component (Andesite Alloy, Brass Ingots, or Copper Plates), and that both Create and Biomes O' Plenty are loaded in your world.
Does this mod add new casings or just new ways to craft existing ones?
It only adds new crafting recipes for the existing Create casings. No new casing types are added, just more wood options to make them with.
