Customize Compass Direction Labels

Change Direction Display

The plugin shows your facing direction (N, NE, E, etc.) in the action bar. You can customize these labels to match your language, server theme, or personal preference.

How to Customize

1. Open plugins/CompassCoords/config.yml.

2. Find the directions: section near the bottom.

3. Edit each direction label. For example, change from cardinal abbreviations to full names:

4. Save and reload the plugin.

Tips

• Use any text you want—emoji, symbols, or other languages work too.
• Keep labels short to avoid cluttering the action bar.
• The %dir placeholder in your text: format will use whatever you define here.
• All eight directions (north, northeast, east, southeast, south, southwest, west, northwest) can be customized independently.
