Get the Best Visual Quality on Mid-Range Hardware
Start with Balanced Presets
Coffee Shaders typically includes preset configurations (like Low, Medium, High, or Ultra). Begin with a preset close to your hardware tier rather than maxing everything out. This gives you a solid baseline that's already optimized for performance.
Enable Selective Features
Turn on features that matter most to you: smooth shadows, warm bloom, and natural cave lighting are the shader's strengths. You can often disable less impactful effects like advanced reflections or extra post-processing to preserve frame rate.
Customize Shadow Settings for Quality
Increase shadow distance and resolution moderately—better shadows have the biggest visual impact on the vanilla aesthetic. Pair this with reduced bloom intensity if needed to stay within your frame rate target.
Monitor and Iterate
Use F3 debug screen to watch your FPS while adjusting settings. Aim for a stable frame rate first, then gradually increase visual settings until you notice drops. The shader's warm, soft aesthetic means you don't need maximum settings to look great—mid-range settings often provide the best balance.
