Adjust Shadow Quality for Better Performance
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls menu under "Shader Options"). This opens the Coffee Shaders configuration panel.
Reduce Shadow Distance and Resolution
Look for shadow-related settings, typically labeled as shadow distance, shadow map resolution, or shadow quality. Lowering these values reduces the area covered by shadows and the detail level of shadow rendering. This is the most effective way to improve frame rates on older hardware.
Fine-Tune Other Performance Settings
Disable or reduce bloom intensity if you're still experiencing lag—the warm glow effect is beautiful but performance-intensive. Look for options to disable volumetric lighting or reduce its quality. You can also lower overall shader complexity through a quality preset slider if available.
Test and Save
Make changes one at a time and observe frame rate impact. Once you find a balance between visuals and performance, your settings should persist across sessions. If performance is still poor, consider reducing Minecraft's render distance or lowering your base game graphics settings.
