Trigger Combat Animations

Special attack actions and physical strikes only display during actual battles.

1. Encounter another trainer or wild Pokémon

2. Enter battle mode with a Pokémon that has custom animations (like Greninja or Pikachu)

3. Use an attack command during your turn

4. Watch your Pokémon perform its unique physical strike or signature move animation

Observe Fainting Sequences

When your Pokémon's health reaches zero, dedicated defeat animations play.

1. Allow your animated Pokémon to take damage until it faints

2. The creature will perform its custom fainting sequence before being withdrawn

3. Different Pokémon have unique defeat poses

Check Battle Idle Poses

While waiting for your turn or between actions, your Pokémon displays a battle-specific idle stance—different from its overworld idle animation. This helps creatures feel more engaged during combat.
