Cobble Towns Continued Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I find towns in my world?
Towns generate randomly as you explore, so travel outward from your spawn point or use the world map. Look for distinctive red and blue roofs—these mark healing centers and marts that are part of the towns.
Do towns only spawn in certain biomes?
Towns can spawn in most biomes, and the pack works with Terralith to place them in custom biomes too. However, they're more likely to generate in areas with suitable terrain, so you may need to explore multiple biomes to find them.
How do I use a healing center?
Walk inside a healing center building and interact with the healing machine. The machine will restore your team when you use it, and the nurse NPC inside will act as staff.
Can I break the healing machines and get loot?
Yes, healing machines now break properly when mined and will only drop iron, unlike older versions that didn't drop anything.
What can I buy at the marts?
Marts stock various items you can purchase from the shopkeeper villagers inside. Check the mart inventory by interacting with the NPCs behind the counter.
Why aren't custom monsters spawning inside buildings?
Custom monster spawning requires cheats to be enabled in your world settings—turn on cheats and the monsters should begin spawning in designated buildings.
Do I need to install the skin pack?
The skin pack is optional and transforms regular villagers into famous characters from the games. You can use the data pack without it if you prefer vanilla villager appearances.
Will this pack work with my other mods and data packs?
Cobble Towns Continued is designed to work alongside other content, and it specifically integrates with Terralith for custom biome support. Test compatibility with your other mods if you're unsure.
Can I find healing centers and marts outside of towns?
Yes, the pack generates standalone healing centers and marts in the wild even when you're far from a full town, so you can access these facilities while exploring.
Do the NPCs have the correct professions?
Yes, the nurses and shopkeepers have been updated with proper professions so they behave like real staff members and can interact with you correctly.
