Cobble Cats Data Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Why can't I see the cat models even though I installed the mod?
You need to load the Cobble Cats files as BOTH a resource pack and a data pack—loading only one will cause models to appear invisible or broken. Make sure both are enabled in your world settings.
Where do I find cat Pokémon at night?
Nocturnal species like Skitty, Delcatty, Glameow, Purugly, and Stunky spawn much more frequently after sunset and when it's not raining. Check villages, forests, and swamps during nighttime for the best catches.
How do I catch Espurr and Meowstic?
These species only spawn in the End dimension, so you'll need to travel there to find them. They don't appear in the overworld.
What's the best biome route to catch all the cat species?
Start in villages and cherry biomes for Skitty and Delcatty, move to badlands and forests for Zeraora, check swamps for Stunky and Skuntank, then visit savannas and jungles for Litleo and Pyroar. Visit the End last for Espurr and Meowstic, and the Nether for Spoink and Grumpig.
Why aren't any cats spawning in my world?
Check that both the resource pack and data pack are loaded, verify you're in the correct biomes for the species you're looking for, and try waiting until nighttime since many species are nocturnal. If spawns are still missing, try moving to a new area or reloading your world.
Can I find cat Pokémon during the day?
Most cat species in this pack are nocturnal or prefer specific weather conditions—Skitty and Delcatty won't spawn during rain, for example. Some species like Zeraora, Litleo, and Pyroar can appear during the day in their biomes, but nighttime generally offers better spawn rates.
Do I need Cobblemon installed to use this pack?
Yes, Cobble Cats is a data pack that expands Cobblemon, so you must have the main Cobblemon mod installed first for any of these cat species to appear.
Where do I find Spoink and Grumpig?
Spoink and Grumpig spawn in plains biomes and in the Nether's crimson and warped forests. They're not nocturnal like some other cat species, so you can find them during the day.
Are there any cat species that spawn in multiple biomes?
Yes—Zeraora appears in both badlands and forests, Litleo and Pyroar spawn in savannas, badlands, and jungles, and Spoink and Grumpig appear in plains plus both Nether forest variants.
What should I do if the mod is causing lag or performance issues?
Try reducing your render distance or entity render distance in video settings, as spawning many new creatures can impact performance. You can also check if other mods are conflicting by testing Cobble Cats in isolation.
