Chunky Border Plugin FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I create my first world border?
Use Chunky's selection commands to define your desired region, then run `chunky border add` to create a world border from that selection. The border will prevent players from moving beyond the selected area.
Can I see the world border visually in game?
Yes, enable the optional client-side world border renderer to see the border on your client, or use the optional server-side particle visualizer so all players can see it. You can also set up map markers on Dynmap, BlueMap, or squaremap for visual reference.
What happens when a player tries to cross the border?
Players are prevented from moving past the border, and they'll receive a customizable message. You can also configure custom effects and sounds to play when they hit the border.
How do I let players teleport across the border instead of blocking them?
Use `chunky border wrap` to toggle border wrapping for your selected world, which allows teleports that would go outside the border to wrap around to the opposite side instead.
Can I change the message players see when hitting the border?
Yes, the world border message is fully customizable through the mod's configuration options.
How do I remove a world border I created?
Run `chunky border remove` while in the world where the border exists to delete it.
Can admins bypass the world border?
Yes, players with the `chunkyborder.bypass.move` permission can move through the border, and those with `chunkyborder.bypass.place` can place blocks outside it. You can also use `chunky border bypass` to temporarily disable the border.
Does this work with all world shapes?
Yes, Chunky Border Plugin supports all world shapes generated by Chunky, so you can create borders for circular, square, or custom-shaped worlds.
Can I have multiple world borders on the same server?
Yes, use `chunky border list` to see all saved borders and `chunky border load` to switch between them for editing in different worlds.
What permission do I need to use border commands?
Players need the `chunky.command.border` permission to access all border commands.
