Troubleshoot a Cart That Stopped Moving

Check for Obstructions

A cart stops loading chunks when it gets stuck. Walk to the cart's last known location and look for:

  • Broken or missing track segments
  • Blocks placed on the rails
  • Water or other obstacles blocking the path
  • The cart sitting still on the track

Detect Loop Problems

If your track forms a loop or circle, the plugin's loop detection system will stop loading chunks after the cart travels a certain distance without reaching a new area. This is intentional—it prevents players from abusing the system to keep chunks loaded forever.

Restart the Journey

1. Clear any obstructions from the track

2. If the track is circular, redesign it to have a clear endpoint

3. Push or power the cart again to restart

4. Use /chunkcarts list to confirm the cart is actively loading chunks

Check Configuration

Ask your server admin to review the progress-slack-chunks setting—this controls how far a cart can travel in a loop before stopping. A higher value allows more circular movement before triggering the safety system.
