ChicknTurtle’s 3D Tools Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need to do anything after installing this pack or does it just work?
The pack works automatically once installed—just load a world and your tools will appear 3D in your hand and hotbar. No configuration or commands needed.
Will this pack work with my other texture packs?
Yes, as long as your other packs don't change tool shapes, they'll layer together fine. If conflicts happen, load this pack after your other packs in your resource pack list.
Does this affect tools from mods or add-ons?
No, this pack only changes the standard Minecraft tools (swords, axes, pickaxes, shovels, hoes, mace, and trident). Modded tools stay unchanged.
Why does my trident look flat in my inventory?
This pack reshapes the trident item to match its thrown form, so it should look 3D. If it appears flat, try reloading your resource packs or checking that this pack is enabled.
Does the mace look different with this pack?
Yes, the mace gets a proper 3D blocky shape instead of appearing flat, making it look more impactful when held.
Will this slow down my game or affect performance?
No, this is a resource pack that only changes visuals—it doesn't add any gameplay mechanics or processing overhead.
Can I use this on a multiplayer server?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this on any server without permission or installation on the server itself.
Do the 3D tools work in third-person view?
The pack primarily affects first-person view and your hotbar. Third-person appearance depends on your camera angle and may show different details.
What if my tools still look flat after installing?
Make sure the pack is at the top of your resource pack list and enabled, then restart your game. If using another texture pack, try disabling it temporarily to test.
Does this pack change tool colors or textures, or just the shape?
This pack keeps the original pixel art colors and textures—it only adds blocky 3D depth to make tools look thicker and more dimensional.
