Debug Hit Command Issues with Logging

Enable the Logging System

The plugin includes an optional logging feature to help troubleshoot problems. Enable logging in your configuration file to record details whenever a hit triggers a command.

Check Log Output

When a player uses your trigger item, the plugin logs information about the hit, the command that ran, and any errors that occurred. Review these logs in your server's log files to identify what went wrong.

Verify Trigger Item Registration

If hits aren't triggering commands, check the logs to confirm your item was properly registered with /chc sethititem. The logs will show whether the plugin recognized the item you're holding.

Test Command Syntax

If your command isn't executing correctly, logs will reveal syntax errors or permission issues. Use this information to fix your command configuration. Reload the plugin with /chc reload after making changes and test again while monitoring the logs.
