Finding Dry Land Mineshafts

Mineshafts generated on dry land (not over water or caves) now spawn with a distinctive spiral stone staircase entrance and wooden support structures. This makes them much easier to spot and enter compared to vanilla mineshafts.

Entering the Mineshaft

Approach the spiral staircase and walk down carefully. The new structure provides a safe, walkable path into the mineshaft proper. The wooden supports frame the entrance, making navigation intuitive.

Mining Efficiently

Once inside, you'll find the standard mineshaft layout with minecart tracks and wooden beams. The improved entrance means you can bring supplies down more easily and establish a base camp. Use the spiral staircase as your primary exit route to avoid getting lost in the branching tunnels below.
