Fungal Caves generate beneath forest and jungle biomes, identifiable by their abundance of giant mushrooms. These caves feature mushrooms of various sizes scattered throughout, including massive specimens that hang from ceilings like stalactites.

Harvesting Giant Mushrooms

Giant mushrooms can be broken down into smaller mushroom blocks. Use an axe for faster harvesting. Collect the mushroom blocks for building or crafting purposes. Some mushrooms may be positioned awkwardly on ceilings or walls—use scaffolding or build temporary platforms to reach them safely.

Exploring Safely

Fungal Caves can be dark and disorienting due to dense mushroom growth. Place torches frequently to mark your path and prevent getting lost. Watch for standard cave hazards like fall damage and hostile mobs that spawn in darker corners.
