Buko’s Enchantment Tips Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Why are my enchantment tooltips still gray and boring?
The resource pack may not be loading. Check that it's enabled in your resource packs menu (pause menu → options → resource packs) and positioned above any conflicting packs. You may need to restart your game after enabling it.
How do I know what color means what enchantment type?
Each color group represents a different magic category—for example, damage-boosting spells share one color while protection spells share another. Hover over any enchanted item to see the colors and symbols applied to each spell on that gear.
Do the symbols actually tell me what level the enchantment is?
The symbols show you what the enchantment does, while the level number (I, II, III, etc.) appears in its own distinct color next to the spell name so you can spot power differences instantly.
Will this resource pack work with other enchantment mods?
It works best with vanilla enchantments, but compatibility with other mods depends on whether those mods use standard tooltip formatting. If a mod completely changes how enchantments display, this pack may not affect it.
Can I use this pack with other visual resource packs at the same time?
Yes, but load order matters—place Buko's Enchantment Tips above other packs in your resource pack list if you want its colors and symbols to take priority. If another pack also modifies tooltips, the one loaded last will override the other.
Does this slow down my game or cause lag?
No, this is a visual-only resource pack that doesn't add code or entities, so it has no performance impact on frame rate or server performance.
Why do some enchantments not have symbols?
All standard enchantments should have symbols, but if you're seeing missing icons, verify the resource pack is fully loaded and try restarting your game or re-enabling the pack.
Can I see the enchantment colors when items are in my inventory or on the ground?
The colored tooltips and symbols appear when you hover over items to read their details; they don't change the appearance of items themselves in your inventory or on the ground.
How do I compare two enchanted items side by side quickly?
Hold both items and look at their tooltips—the color-coded spells and numbered levels let you instantly spot which one has stronger or more useful enchantments without reading every word.
What do I do if the colors look wrong or washed out on my screen?
This may be a display or gamma setting issue rather than the pack itself; try adjusting your brightness or gamma in video settings, or check if another resource pack is interfering by temporarily disabling others.
