Debug and Troubleshoot Loot Generation Issues

Enable Debug Messages

Run the command:

`

/gamerule lootstockDebug true

`

Now, whenever you place a container, chat will display detailed messages about what loot was generated, item counts, and any errors. This is your primary tool for diagnosing problems.

Check Your Config File

Open lootstock.toml in your config folder. Verify:

  • Item IDs are spelled correctly (e.g., minecraft:copper_ingot, not copper_ingot)
  • min and max values are between 0.0 and 64.0
  • No syntax errors (missing brackets, quotes, or colons)
  • Unused item slots are left blank, not filled with placeholder text

Common Issues

If containers spawn empty, check that at least one item ID is valid and not commented out. If items don't match your config, reload your world after saving changes—configs don't update mid-session. If NBT tags aren't applying, verify the tag syntax matches your mod's requirements.

Verify Restock Timing

Containers restock over time.0.
