Bounty Weaver Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get containers to spawn loot when I first place them?
Containers generate loot automatically when placed in the world or when chunks load if they were already placed. The loot is determined by the container type's configuration in your lootstock.toml file, so make sure your desired items are listed there before placing containers.
Why isn't my container restocking items?
Containers restock on a timer, so you need to wait some time and return to the container—they won't restock while you're standing nearby. Check your lootstock.toml to ensure the min and max item counts are set correctly and that at least one item is configured for that container type.
Can I use items from other mods in my loot containers?
Yes, you can add any modded item by using its full item ID (like `modname:itemname`) in the lootstock.toml configuration file, and you can even attach custom NBT tags to give those items special properties.
What do NBT tags do and how do I add them?
NBT tags let you add special properties to items, like enchantments or custom names, when they spawn in containers. Enter the NBT data in the corresponding `itemXtag` field in lootstock.toml using standard Minecraft NBT format.
How do I test if my loot configuration is working?
Enable the debug gamerule with `/gamerule lootstockDebug true`, then place a container—you'll see detailed messages in chat showing what items were generated and their quantities, which helps you verify your config is correct.
Can I set different loot for each individual container or only by type?
The mod configures loot by container type only (lockers, military boxes, ammo boxes, etc.), so all containers of the same type will have the same loot pool and restock behavior.
What's the difference between min and max item count?
The min and max values define the range of how many items spawn in a container each restock cycle—a container will randomly generate a quantity between those two numbers for each item in its pool.
Do containers need to be in specific biomes or structures to work?
No, containers work anywhere in your world regardless of biome or structure—you can place them freely in your base, caves, or anywhere else you want to create a loot farm.
Will this mod cause lag if I place hundreds of containers?
Performance depends on how many containers are actively restocking and how often the restock timer triggers, so test with a reasonable number first and monitor your frame rate; you can adjust restock frequency through the config if needed.
Can I leave item slots empty in the configuration?
Yes, you can leave item slots blank by setting them to empty quotes (`""`) if you don't need all five slots filled for a container type—only configured items will be added to the loot pool.
