Lock the Nether Until Players Reach a Specific Day Count

Set Up the Day-Based Unlock Rule

You can prevent Nether access until your world reaches a certain number of in-game days. This is useful for progression-based servers where you want players to survive and prepare before accessing the Nether's resources.

1. Open the settings menu with /function disable_dimensions:config

2. Navigate to the Nether dimension lock settings

3. Select the option to add a custom unlock condition

4. Choose "Days" or "In-Game Time" as your condition type

5. Enter the number of days that must pass before the Nether unlocks

6. Confirm and save your settings

How It Works

Once configured, any player who tries to enter a Nether portal before the day count is reached will be sent back to their spawn point. They'll receive an action bar message and hear a quiet sound cue. Once the server reaches the specified day count, all players can freely access the Nether. The lock applies globally—it doesn't track individual player progress, only server time.
