Crabs are sea-themed mobs that behave similarly to spiders in combat. They are found in water biomes and can climb surfaces.

Poisonous Crabs

Poisonous crabs are a variant that deals additional effects on contact:

• Paralyze targets when they hit you, slowing your movement and actions
• Run away after attacking, making them hit-and-run fighters

Combat Strategy

When facing poisonous crabs:

• Use a hammer to knock them back and deal heavy damage quickly
• Keep distance and use ranged weapons if paralyzed
• Attack in groups or with allies to overwhelm them before they escape
• Avoid cornering yourself in water where they have mobility advantage

Prevention

Light up water areas near your base to prevent spawning. Use fences or walls to keep crabs away from important structures.
