Strip a log using an axe—this removes the bark and drops a wood bark item. You can then place that bark back onto stripped logs, regular wood blocks, or log stumps to restore the bark texture.

Log stumps are half-slab versions of logs that take up less vertical space. They support the same bark stripping and placement mechanics as full logs, making them useful for compact builds.

Combine six base materials, one log stump, and one stick in a crafting table. The exact materials depend on which hammer type you want to make.

The hammer breaks a six-block area at once, clearing terrain quickly. Mobs hit by the hammer are knocked into the ground, slowing them and taking heavy damage.

Hold sneak (crouch) while swinging the hammer to break only a single block instead of the six-block area.

Amethyst glass resists explosion damage from creepers and TNT, making it ideal for building explosion-proof structures. It won't protect against all damage types, but it's effective against these common threats.

You can place wood bark on stripped logs, regular wood blocks, and log stumps. You cannot apply it to other block types.

Hammers function normally underwater and are effective against aquatic mobs like crabs. The six-block breaking area works the same way whether you're on land or submerged.
