Understanding Geode Rarity and Balance

Spawn Rates

Not all geodes are equally common. The data pack balances spawn rates so you won't find too many high-value geodes in one area. Diamond and emerald geodes are rarer than coal or copper geodes. This prevents early-game resource inflation while still rewarding exploration.

Geode Types and Their Value

Ore geodes (coal, copper, iron, gold, redstone, lapis, diamonds, emeralds) provide concentrated ore deposits. Special block geodes (slime, ice, honey) are rarer and more valuable for specific builds—ice for frozen structures, slime for bouncy platforms, and honey for decorative or redstone projects.

Balanced Progression

The mod is designed so geode discovery doesn't break normal survival progression. Finding a diamond geode early won't give you unlimited diamonds; the geode contains a reasonable amount that supplements normal mining. This keeps the game challenging while making exploration rewarding.

Compatibility

The geode generation integrates with other world generation add-ons without causing conflicts. If you're using multiple mods or data packs, geode spawn rates adjust to prevent overlap and maintain balanced resource distribution across your world.
