Set Up a Custom Forbidden Action for Your Team

Create Your Criteria Entry

Custom forbidden actions let you define unique rules beyond the built-in checks. Open your plugin's configuration file and add a new criteria entry under the custom section. Specify the trigger type (movement, item, block, combat, or chat), the target (item name, block type, entity, or keyword), and any modifiers like count ranges or reversed logic.

Apply It to a Team

Once your criteria is saved, use /criteria grant <team> <name> to assign it to a team. Replace <team> with your team's name and <name> with your custom criteria's identifier. The team's forbidden action updates immediately—they now lose a life if they trigger your custom rule.

Test and Adjust

Run a quick test to confirm the criteria triggers correctly. If it's not working as expected, check your configuration syntax. Use wildcards like "*" for any item, tags like "#leaves" for block groups, and ranges like "3.." for counts of three or more. You can swap criteria mid-game with /criteria change <team> if needed.
