Configure the Play Area and Game Settings

Open the Settings Menu

Run /criteria settings set to open the in-game graphical menu. This menu lets you adjust core gameplay parameters without editing config files manually.

Adjust Play Area and Lives

Use the menu to set the world border size (controls how much space teams can move in), the maximum life count per team (how many lives teams start with), and item behavior rules. Larger play areas encourage more movement-based tricks; smaller areas intensify combat and block interactions.

Fine-Tune Item Behaviors

Decide whether certain items are allowed, forbidden, or trigger special rules. You can restrict healing items, weapons, or utility blocks to change the game's difficulty and strategy. After adjusting settings, the changes apply immediately to the current game.

Reset to Defaults

If you want to start fresh, use /criteria settings reset to restore all settings to their default state. Use /criteria reset to also reset the world border and restore team lives between rounds.
