Enable or Disable Blending in Specific Dimensions

Why Control Blending by Dimension

The Nether, End, and Overworld have very different aesthetics. You might want smooth blending in natural terrain but prefer sharp edges in the Nether's chaotic landscape, or disable it entirely in custom dimensions.

How to Configure Dimensions

1. Open config/better-blending.json

2. Look for a dimensions section or per-dimension settings

3. For each dimension (Overworld, Nether, End, or custom modded dimensions):

  • Set it to true to enable blending
  • Set it to false to disable blending

4. Save and reload your world

Finding Dimension IDs

Dimension identifiers typically follow the format minecraft:overworld, minecraft:the_nether, minecraft:the_end. Modded dimensions use their mod's namespace (e.g., modname:dimension_name).

Testing

After changing dimension settings, travel to that dimension to see the effect. You may need to reload chunks or move away and back to see changes take effect.
