Adjust Blending Strength Across Your World
Understanding Blending Strength
Blending strength controls how far texture transitions spread and how subtle or pronounced the softening effect appears. Higher values create wider, more noticeable gradients; lower values keep transitions tighter and more conservative.
How to Change Blending Strength
1. Open config/better-blending.json
2. Find the blending strength or intensity setting (often called blend_strength, intensity, or radius)
3. Adjust the value:
- Lower numbers = sharper, tighter transitions
- Higher numbers = softer, wider gradient spreads
4. Save the file and reload your world
Local vs. Regional Blending
If your config separates local and regional blending settings, you can tune them independently:
- Local blending softens edges between immediately adjacent blocks
- Regional blending spreads transitions across a wider area
Try adjusting one at a time to find your preferred look. Test in different terrain types—caves, cliffs, and flat ground may look different at the same setting.
